| Andy Noble's Patches | Andy Noble of Roseville, Michigan is an amazing young man who has cerebral palsy and chronic lung disease. When his mother, Laurie, adopted him as a fetal alcohol syndrome baby, he was not expected to live a week. In January of 2007 Andy turned 17 years old. Although physically challenged, Andy has one passion: to become a Firefighter, Police Officer, or Emergency Responder. To support her son's dream, Laurie writes letters to Police and Fire Departments around the world to request patches and memorabilia. His collection of patches now approaches 15,000.Oakland Firefighters Random Acts is a non-profit charitable organization and is sponsoring a project to mount and display Andy's patch collection. The LDS Humanitarian Center in Utah has generously offered to mount the patches and prepare a traveling exhibit representing 50 states and 50 countries.READ MORE |
